How to easily hide any folder using CMD

We all have a lot of personal things. We do not want to reveal these to others. That's why we use different software to lock our personal things. So that no one can see my personal things without my permission. Today I will show you how you can lock or hide any folder without using any software. That is why we will take the help of cmd. So let's get started.

What is CMD? How to open it?

cmd is a Windows terminal or command prompt. We can do any folder or any work we do using mouse in Windows by typing different commands through cmd. Many of you probably know about cmd. For those who know, they know and for those who do not know, I am showing some basic commands. Press windows + r from the keyboard to run cmd then you will see a popup box. In the search box there type cmd then press Enter key. Then you will see an interface like below.

If you see such a page, you will understand that your cmd has been opened. Now you can do all the work on a normal computer by typing different commands from here. First we look at how to change the drive. If you open cmd you will see that it is in c: drive. Now if you want to go from c drive to another drive then type the name of that drive and colon like d: then enter. Then you will see that your location has changed.

Now we know how to access any folder. So to access the folder that you want to access, first type the cd space then enter the name of the folder and enter it. Again if you want to go from that folder to the folder behind it then type cd. Then one fold will come back. If you want to create a folder, first enter the drive on which you want to create the folder via cmd. Then type mkdir space and enter the name of your folder then enter. Then a new folder will be created on that drive or folder. This way you can do different things through cmd. Let's go back to today's topic.

How to hide folders?

As we saw above, to work in cmd you have to write different types of commands. If you want to hide the folder, you have to type the command. Insert the folder you want to hide into the drive where the folder is located. Then if the folder is in another folder then enter there. Do not enter the folder you want to hide, enter the previous folder of the folder then run the following commands. Enter the name of your folder with the attribute + h + s + r space and press Enter.

Then you will see that your folder is hidden. Now no one will see your folder again until you unhide the folder again. If you hide anything on this system, no one will be able to unhide the folder in any way until they know the name of the folder. Let's see how to unhide the folder. For that, go back to the same location from which you hid the folder.

If you don't go to the exact location, you can't unhide the folder even if you know the name of the folder. After going to the correct location, type in cmd attrib -h -s -r space and enter the name of the folder. Then you will see that your folder is back as before. This way you can hide any folder without using any type of software.
