Search Engine Optimization SEO Tutorials from A to Z [Episode-04] :: Keyword Research

Google's adword tool is very helpful through which we can get a lot of data for research. However, this tool also gives us a lot of unnecessary keywords, which may not have any direct contact with our site.

Open the excel sheet and ask yourself if this keyword is suitable for my site or if someone enters this keyword in the search engine then they will find my site. If someone finds my site through a search engine, can I give them the information or service they need? Then find those phrases that are not related to your website and omit them.

For example, the words kindle, ebook reader, book reviews, etc. are related to the site we are using as an example, but the word kindled is not related at the very end, so we will omit it.

Delete all irrelevant words in this way and finally save the Excel sheet.

Now our job is to open the sheet we are saving and select some highly related keywords here and the phrases can be divided into different categories. Now suppose we have chosen the phrase 'electronic book reader' which is highly related to the subject of our website

Now we will copy this keyword and according to the rules shown in the previous episode with the google adword tool we will find out the other phrases related to the electronic book reader phrase and the amount of search and then save the excel sheet in the previous rule and remove the unnecessary keywords. If you don't remember, watch episode 3 .

Then we will put these files in an excel in the form of a sheet, it will be very convenient to work. Save the first file on a sheet called General Keywords and the second file on a sheet called electronic book reader.

In this way, by selecting a few more categories (highly related), select the keywords related to your site through google adword tool and save them in sheet form in excel.

Open the last file we saved, where we have the keyword and monthly search volume. Now our job is to find out the competitiveness of different keywords. Here we can say competitiveness means that it is easy or difficult to optimize a keyword. In more detail, how many pages are competing for that keyword on the web. So the more competitors there are, the harder it will be to optimize that keyword. So we have to choose a keyword that has less keyword competitors, but more search.

So far today. Thanks everyone. Let's go ...
